especially in your teen years, a) because you get hurt and it can impact on your future relationships (giving rise to trust/intimacy/rejection issues) and b) it bothers me when young people get settled into long term relationships when really at this age u should be experimenting and dating different people to find out what you really like before settling down with someone you genuinely trust and love c) our brains haven’t even fully developed yet so how are we even supposed to know what love is or how it works

i mean yeah we’re all lonely and have needs, both physical and emotional and i, like many people would love to be in a relationship but i think for now until i’m older i’d really be content with just having someone there who i’m comfortable with and like mutually, not necessarily be in a relationship just kinda have someone there
